Massachusetts has some of the nation’s strongest climate and clean energy laws on the books, including its new climate bill passed in 2022, which together have made the Bay State a regional and national leader for policies related to distributed energy resources like solar and energy storage, as well as transportation electrification. This progress has been made possible due to coordinated efforts by policymakers, advocates and leaders from within the clean energy sector. Now, Advanced Energy United is working with those same leaders to ensure Massachusetts continues moving forward and passes the necessary policies to achieve its ambitious clean energy goals, especially around transmission and interconnection to support offshore wind development in New England.

  • Accelerating the transition to 100% clean energy in Massachusetts by removing barriers to the growth of wind and solar power.
  • Delivering American-made energy to Massachusetts's families by strengthening our transmission system and energy efficiency programs to make our electricity grid more resilient.
  • Making electric transportation a reality in all communities by using federal infrastructure funding to greatly expand charging infrastructure.
