Advanced Energy United plays an industry-leading role in leveraging policy to scale up deployment of distributed energy resources (DERs), including appliances, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, and distributed generation and storage, which can all be used as grid assets to meet peak demand and lower consumer energy costs. One of the ways we help DERs realize their potential is by working with policymakers and utilities to help them pursue upgrades to the distribution grid through proactive planning and investments. As the electricity system continues to evolve, and with energy demand on the rise, modernizing the distribution grid is one of the key avenues for empowering consumers and grid operators with distributed resources.
