Advanced Energy United’s Federal Investment & Manufacturing and (FIM) Working Group focuses on leveraging our state networks to advocate for investments, particularly those arising with implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (IIJA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), that accelerate deployment of advanced energy and transportation technologies. Our FIM Working Group also advocates for advanced energy manufacturing policy, which aims to bolster the U.S. supply chain, from raw materials to finished products, for advanced energy and transportation technologies and promote effective reuse and recycling policies for our industry. Ultimately, this advocacy is aimed at creating bipartisan D.C. champions, building broad support for our industry, and laying the foundation for comprehensive policies that produce a 100% clean energy power sector and 100% EV sales by 2035. Participants in Advanced Energy United's FIM Working Group will have the opportunity to set strategy for our industry in D.C., participate to our engagement with policymakers on the Hill and in the Biden Administration, and engage in United's ongoing IRA and IIJA implementation work.
