We work with legislative and regulatory decision-makers in states to improve the value proposition of DER adoption by properly valuing their contribution to the grid through rate design and other regulatory policies.
By sitting down with legislators, governors, utilities, and state regulators, we educate decision-makers on the value DER aggregation can have for consumers and grid operators, and the policy changes needed to unlock that potential. We also engage directly in wholesale market rule development, and with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), to ensure a fair playing field for the sector. Regulation should foster a competitive market for DER aggregators to encourage innovation in both the products and the offerings available to consumers while driving down participation costs.
Allows for greater market penetration of distributed energy resources, increasing their capability and value to the grid. Grid modernization plans lead to speedier interconnection times, improving customer experience and company bottom lines.
