Sam Ressin supports Advanced Energy United’s regulatory engagement in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Sam’s work includes drafting comments in rulemaking proceedings, sharing United’s positions with stakeholders, and tracking the implementation of state regulations. Sam spent two years on United’s Expanding Wholesale Markets team, focusing on engagement at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Prior to joining United, Sam worked at the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, managing Virginia’s involvement in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, and served as a census taker in the 2020 U.S. Census.
