Michael Barrio leads Advanced Energy United's engagement in Arizona and New Mexico, with a focus on legislative, gubernatorial, and political engagement. Michael identifies, analyzes, and organizes strategic advocacy and relationship-building opportunities to accelerate the energy transition while expanding markets for the advanced energy industry. Prior to joining Advanced Energy United, Michael spent several years running a policy consulting shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he focused on housing, workforce, and economic development policy. He has an extensive background in government affairs, crisis communication, non-profit leadership, and corporate human resources.
