Michigan Advance: Bills to Repeal Michigan’s Clean Energy Mandate Advanced by GOP-Controlled House Committee

Michigan Advance reports that the Michigan House of Representatives will now consider two bills (House Bill 5710 and House Bill 5711) rolling back the state’s recently imposed clean energy mandate laws, which included a goal of a 100% clean energy standard. United’s Samarth Medakkar called on the legislature to reject both bills, urging state leaders to continue deploying more homegrown, local energy resources to lower costs and meet growing demand.
