Latitude Media: Is the West on the Cusp of a Transmission Breakthrough?

Latitude Media reports that Western governors, utilities, independent power producers, and transmission developers are working on region-wide initiatives to identify key transmission projects and streamline state permitting processes that are often a big bottleneck to building out new infrastructure. United’s Brian Turner stated that this progress creates an opportunity to get more regional transmission projects built out faster to meet the region’s growing energy needs.
