Canary Media: California Declines to Fund its Biggest Virtual Power Plant

Canary Media reports that California’s state budget language does not authorize additional money for the state’s Demand Side Grid Support program, the country’s largest virtual power plant program. United’s California Director Brandon García stated that this move “is baffling,” and while the program wasn’t dismantled, if funding doesn’t come early next year, there may not be a program left to fund.
