Leah Rubin Shen leads Advanced Energy United’s legislative, political, and regulatory engagement in the Western region of the United States, including United’s advocacy for a Western RTO. Prior to joining Advanced Energy United, Leah worked for U.S. Senator Chris Coons as his advisor on energy and environmental policy. She began her career as a chemist and spent her early career researching the electrochemical properties of new materials for proton exchange membrane fuel cells and teaching science in Namibia as a Peace Corps volunteer.
