Katie Mettle leads Advanced Energy United’s work in Maryland and New Jersey. Based in Baltimore, she partners with policymakers, advocates, and other stakeholders in Annapolis and Trenton to advance legislation and regulations that will accelerate the transition to 100% clean energy. Prior to joining United, Katie served as a staffer within the Maryland General Assembly's House Economic Matters Committee, where she shaped legislation that increased the demand to build clean, renewable energy generation within the PJM territory. Katie also previously served in AmeriCorps, managed a Maryland State Senate campaign, and spent nearly a decade as a volunteer leader for an environmental organization.
