Valessa Souter-Kline

Valessa Souter-Kline supports Advanced Energy United’s work across the Northeast. She previously served as the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)’s Northeast Regional Director, advancing regulatory and legislative initiatives in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Valessa spent a decade fostering communication between regulators and industry stakeholders on energy and environmental issues. Beginning in 2015, she led Solarize campaigns throughout New York’s Southern Tier, then spent two years shaping solar policy at the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA) before transitioning into project development. Valessa also worked for three years as a utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage developer, primarily in New York, with additional projects in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
