Jennifer Bumgarner

Jennifer Bumgarner is Advanced Energy United’s Senior Vice President of Strategy. She leads the development of strategies to accelerate the transition to 100% clean energy and electrified transportation, working closely with United’s team of policy and program strategists. Jennifer also leads the Strategic Partnerships team, cultivating relationships with philanthropic funders and other aligned organizations. Jennifer brings deep experience in philanthropy, advocacy, and energy policy. Before joining United, she was Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy. She was also Senior Regional Director for the Southeast with the U.S. Energy Foundation and served as Assistant Secretary for Energy at the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
