Kim Jemaine serves as Managing Director of Counterspark, a c4 organization started by Advanced Energy United. She has a wealth of experience in state-level legislative engagement and coalition building. Kim spent most of her career working on politics and policy in Virginia. She worked on several issue advocacy and electoral campaigns before transitioning to policy. During her time on the ground, advocating for clean energy policy in Virginia Kim helped pass the Virginia Clean Economy Act and was instrumental in the passage of advanced clean car standards, legislation to electrify the state fleet, and legislation to promote the use of GETs in the Commonwealth.
She now works with our state teams to design and execute strategic campaigns to accelerate progress towards 100% clean energy and electrified transportation. Kim previously held positions as the Virginia Director for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network and as a Policy Manager with the Virginia League of Conservation voters.
